Dried Active Yeast
125g by Allinson. Reactive in water for traditional baking. Give a lift to your hand baked bread. 650g of flour usually requires 15g of dried active yeast.
Directions: 1] In a 600ml jug, dissolve 5ml of sugar in 150ml warm water. 2] sprinkle with 15g of yeast and whisk thoroughly. 3] leave in a warm place until the surface is covered with approx 2cm froth. 4] whisk again and use as directed in your recipe.
If the recipe asks for fresh yeast, just use half the quantity of allinsons dried yeast
