Murgh Cholay:

Ingredients required - chicken 750g, chickpeas 300g, onions x 2, 1 tbsp garlic paste, ghee 250g, oil, 1 x shan packet murgh cholay,

Method: heat ghee, fry onions. add garlic and chicken then stirfry foe few mins. Add 3 cups water, cover, cook on low flame until meat tender. SEPERATELY add soaked chickpeas in 8 glass water and boil on low heat for 2 to 3 hours. Then add shan murgh cholay [less for milder taste] - stir and boil for an hour or till chickpeas tender. Combine the cooked chicken with cooked chickpeas. Stir and cook for 5-10 mins or till ghee seperates from chickpeas.

Ingredients: coriander, paprika, salt, red chilli, black pepper, clove, brown cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric, musk melon, nutmeg, mace. cumin, bay leaf, garlic.
