Sona Masoori Rice should be washed & soaked for 20 - 30 minutes before use, A less starchy grain, this Indian rice is used for many south Indian rice dishes like pongal and idli.

Traditionally known as 'Golden Ivy', India Gate Sona Masoori Rice is a medium-grain, aromatic rice that is lightweight. It is largely cultivated in the Deccan rich belt of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. It is typically used in preparation of delectable dishes such as sweet pongal, biryani and fried rice.
