Molasses is a thick robust- tasting, aromatic syrup by product of sugar refining.  Molasses contains more vitamins, minerals and trace elements (iron, potassium, calcium and magnesium) found naturally in the sugar cane plant, making it more nutritious than sugar and most other sweeteners.
