50g. Recipe & Seasoning Mix.

Try Shan Biryani Mix for a Tasty Meat Layered Pilaf.

Ingredients Required:
  • meat on bones 1kg
  • basmati rice 750g
  • onions 250g
  • tomatoes 250g
  • fresh coriander chopped
  • mint leaves chopped
  • plain yoghurt 200g
  • cooking oil 175ml
  • shan biryani 1 packet mixed in 1/2 cup water

Steps of Cooking:
  • heat oil and fry onions, add meat shan biryani mix and stirfry for 5 mins. 
  • add yoghurt and water, cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender.
  • add tomatoes and stirfry on high heat until oil begins to separate, keep aside.
  • separately in 3 litres of of boiling water, stir in 3 tbsp of shan salt and soaked rice.
  • boil rice until 3/4 cooked, remove and drain.
  • spread half the rice in a pot and pour meat curry, then top with remaining rice.
  • spread coriander and mint on rice, cover and cook on low heat until rice is tender.
  • mix before serving.
